Indian Mound Cottage

This Queen Anne - style house was built in 1892 by inventor Gordon McKay of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. After the turn of the century it was purchased by William Rockefeller. It takes its name from an ancient mound of seashells the house's builders found on the present-day front lawn.
