About the Author

George Merlis is the former executive producer of “Good Morning America,” “The CBS Morning News,” “Entertainment Tonight,” and “The Dick Cavett Show.” He has worked with Diane Sawyer, David Hartman, Bob Goen, Mary Hart, Geraldo Rivera, Harry Reasoner, and Bill Kurtis, among others. Since the early 1980's, he has used his experience to train spokespersons for media interviews, news converences, and other press encounters. His clients have run the gamut from, quite literally, rock stars to rocket scientists. Merlis lives in Los Angeles.
